One may enter the Ministry via the visitors' entrance which is in a payphone outside on the pavement. The entrance code on the payphone is number 62442. Aside from Apparation and the Floo Network, two stairways are labelled GENTLEMEN or LADIES. They lead into an underground public bathroom. A golden Ministry of Magic coin is used to open the stall doors.

To enter the premises, one may step through the window of what appears to be a red-bricked, condemned department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. This acts as a magical gateway to the main building, much like the barrier at King's Cross Station to Platform 9¾. The interior, on the other hand, looks exactly as a hospital should.

It is often warm, crowded, and a bit smoky, but clean and welcoming. A mirror behind the bar reflects the cosy atmosphere, and drinks such as Butterbeer and Firewhiskey are served in glasses and in foaming pewter tankards, as well as gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella. The Three Broomsticks is owned and operated by Madam Rosmerta.

It is a sweet shop famous for its chocolate and many wonderfully wild sweets, loved by teachers and students alike.

"The haunt of happy couples", according to Harry Potter. Usually couples go there on dates.

A dingy pub owned by Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth Dumbledore, which hosted a secret passage into Hogwarts created by the Room of Requirement. It has a relatively shady past.

During the Second Wizarding War, Zonko's Joke Shop was closed and boarded up, but it has since been reopened! It's not a bad location at all.

Grimmauld Place is a street in the London Borough of Islington mostly inhabited by Muggles. The Black family residence was located at number twelve, and served as the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix between 1996-1997. It was left to Harry Potter by Sirius Black in early 1996.

Malfoy Manor is the home of the wealthy pure-blood Malfoy family, located in Wiltshire, England. It was mainly used as the base of operations for Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters during the Second Wizarding War, much to the immense discomfort of Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco Malfoy in 1997-1998.

Located continentally above Weasleys' Wizardly Wheezes, George is hardly very far from his home unless he's wandering around.
