Aside from Apparation and the Floo Network, two stairways are labelled GENTLEMEN or LADIES. They lead into an underground public bathroom. A golden Ministry of Magic coin is used to open the stall doors. This acts as a magical gateway to the main building, much like the barrier at King's Cross Station to Platform 9¾. The interior, on the other hand, looks exactly as a hospital should. Though the building sustained quite a bit of damage during the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998, the school was rebuilt and reopened, and it is accepting students for sorting.
