Located on the ground floor, the Great Hall is where the students from all four houses meet for meals and special events. Beware the mail deliveries over meals, sometimes the owls deliver howlers.

Located on the third floor of the school, with the restricted section being on the fourth, the Hogwarts library contains thousands of books on just as many shelves. The library does close in the evenings, at eight to be exact.

The castle is full of winding hallways that connect classrooms, common rooms, bathrooms, and many other places to one another. The hallways are typically crowded between classes, so plan for much jostling.

The bathrooms in Hogwarts are much more than rooms with toilets and sinks and mirrors, they are homes to ghosts (like Moaning Myrtle) and students avoiding classes and students selling questionable items and even students brewing potions. What happens in the Hogwarts bathrooms should probably stay in the Hogwarts bathrooms.

With the many different subjects offered at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, there are many different classrooms on many different floors. Please remember that Transfiguration is on the ground floor, Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts are on the third floor, and Divination is in the North Tower. Don't get lost!
